MY BACKGROUND
I'm Lauren, an LLB Law graduate from the University of Reading. I am the first in my family to attend university. I originally gained an interest in Law by watching Judge Rinder. I then decided to join my sixth forms Law group where I took part in a mock trial and loved it. This is what confirmed that law was a career I wanted to pursue.

WHERE I’VE WORKED
November 2023- Present
Ward Clerk, Bedford Hospital​
Provide both a front-line clerical service to clinical staff within the ward whilst also providing “front door” style support to patients and relatives during visits. At the same time, ensuring accurate and timely inputting of patient level data into the relevant clinical systems for the capturing of admission, discharge and transfer of patients.Whilst also strictly adhering to trust data quality, health records and information governance policies. Also undertaking general administrative duties such as photocopying, laminating, mail, stationary ordering, and maintenance requests.

Marketing and Communications Assistant (Change 100 Intern), Birkbeck University of London​
Undertook an assistive role in the home marketing team focusing on recruitment and promotion within the School of Creative Art, Culture and Communication This involved assisting in social media filming for Instagram reels and stories. As well as collaborating on and contributing innovative ideas regularly in team meetings. Other tasks undertaken included writing social media and email marketing content, exploring the strategic planning behind marketing campaigns, and undertaking competitor research, showcasing data and analytical findings before creating mock-ups based on those findings.

Customer Advisor, Boots UK​
Started off in the pharmacy department but quickly moved to operations to support general delivery, serving customers on tills and restocking the shelves. Then transferred to the baby, travel and electricals department completing the same tasks as well as supporting customers on the photo machines, sorting, collecting click-and-collect orders, and returning unwanted, damaged or recalled products.
